Those students desiring to continue their education at Applied Life Christian College beyond the Associate Degree level may, upon graduation, be invited to participate in an additional intensive two-year internship program.

Graduation will be awarded upon completion of the cumulative 132 hours. This consists of the completed 72 hour Associate Degree Program and the additional 60 hour Bachelor Degree Program, which is comprised of those courses required for the student’s particular discipline.

Other requirements for graduation include meeting all class attendance requirements and completing the experience with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Every student must also maintain a willingness to change and keep a favorable attitude toward others in order to receive a degree. Degrees are available in the following Majors:

Christian Education Major
The Christian Education Major at ALCC has been specifically designed to meet the growing need for trained teaching staff in the rapidly growing number of Christian schools in America. In this program, each student will be exposed to, and receive actual training in, the implementation of the various Christian school and home school curriculum currently available, such as ABEKA, Saxon and others.

The Christian Education Major provides a balanced blend of the following: academic preparation for teaching the traditional disciplines, practical teaching and child development techniques and student teaching opportunities for hands-on experience. After having completed two years of classroom training (working as the teacher) the graduate will be qualified to teach in the Christian School and perform well in a variety of related professional fields.

Church Ministries Major
The Church Ministries Major is as unique as ALCC itself. It is designed to assist the student who plans to pursue a ministry involving any type of church administration, including the office of a pastor, youth pastor, worship leader, church office manager or administrator.

This major will be used to train the student in all aspects of church ministry. The student will work daily in the church learning how to stay ablaze for God while ministering to people. They will be working with church personnel, dealing with and handling problems or decisions which arise every day (everything from toilets overflowing to what curriculum to use in Sunday School).

A graduate from ALCC with a major in Church Ministry will not only be knowledgeable in all areas of church administration, but also well-equipped to be a leader or to assist leadership in any ministry.

Missions Major
The Missions Major at ALCC is dedicated to assisting the student in making a global impact as a world Christian.

The curriculum involves extensive training in every aspect pertaining to preparation for the mission field, including visa and entry requirements, purchasing airline tickets, fund raising and proper newsletter construction and the formation of a non-profit organization. The student will prepare for at least two long-term missions trips which will be taken during their 3rd and 4th year here at ALCC.

Successful completion of their internship will enable the graduate to pursue their calling as a missionary at home or on the foreign mission field.
