Applied Life Leaders Academy's internship program is a transformative nine-month journey designed to empower young leaders. Through a strong Biblical foundation, internss will gain practical life skills that help them realize their God-given potential. Our program emphasizes real-world applications of Biblical truths in everyday situations, enriching both personal and spiritual growth.
Management of Life
This class equips you to build and navigate your future with a victorious mindset. Through studying the life of Joseph, you will learn to steward your thoughts, resources, and opportunities in a way that honors God and positions you to live a purposeful and blessed life.
Old and New Testament
Through the study of both the Old and New Testaments, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of God’s character and His plan for His people. By exploring themes such as redemption, atonement, and salvation in the Old Testament, you will be prepared to recognize and embrace Jesus as the perfect fulfillment of the law. This foundation will also help you understand the ongoing relevance and application of both the Old and New Testaments in today’s world.

Prayer and Intercession
You will study biblical principles of prayer and learn to pray with the power and authority described in Scripture. This course lays a foundation for deeper encounters with God through worship and personal devotion, while encouraging you to cultivate a genuine, intimate, and consistent prayer life.
Communication
No matter where life leads you, the ability to communicate effectively will serve you well. This class not only teaches you how to communicate well with others, but also helps you understand and process the emotions that influence and emerge from your conversations with those around you.
Intro and Applied Leadership
Anyone can step into a position of leadership, but many do not remain in those positions because they lack the character and underlying principles required to lead from a biblical perspective. These leadership classes will equip you to become a servant leader and sustain a life of effective, Christ-centered leadership.
Family Life
This class explores dating, engagement, marriage, and parenting through a biblical lens, while providing you with mentorship from multiple couples within the ministry. It casts vision for your future and thoughtfully addresses challenging topics, equipping you to navigate relationships, family roles, intimacy, and parenting with wisdom and clarity.

CHRISTIAN LIFE
This course equips interns to apply core Christian doctrines to everyday life. Many believers lack a clear understanding of foundational truths, which limits spiritual depth. Topics include knowing God’s will, His attributes, the deity of Christ, the Trinity, the work of the Holy Spirit, salvation, water baptism, heaven, hell, and spiritual gifts. This course provides a clear, concise, and solid foundation for a strong, lasting faith.
BASICS ONE
(Men and women taught separately)
Men: This course equips young men with practical skills in electricity, carpentry, plumbing, small engines, auto mechanics, and more—enabling them to handle basic home repairs without relying on costly professionals.
Women: This course provides hands-on training in meal planning and preparation, entertaining, decorating, and the essential responsibilities of managing a home.
This course is a valuable foundation for everyday life.
BASICS TWO
Men and women taught separately)
Men: This course trains men in hygiene, etiquette, and appropriate conduct, while teaching their biblical roles as protector, provider, and guide.
Women: This course casts vision for becoming a Proverbs 31 woman, exploring biblical femininity and how to live whole and healthy. Interns gain practical insight into relationships, home life, and personal care—including diet, exercise, skincare, and presentation—along with instruction in etiquette, traditions, gardening, and essential life skills.

FAMILY LIFE
This course teaches God’s design for the family by defining the roles of the man, woman, and child within the home. It addresses relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, including practical approaches to child discipline and key marital principles. Interns also learn through the example of staff families modeling a godly home. This course casts a clear vision for building a healthy, biblical family.
LEADERSHIP ONE
Whether it’s making a move, trying something new, choosing a college, starting a business, or committing to marriage—nothing happens without leadership. This course is designed to strengthen each intern’s ability to lead themselves, others, and their generation. Through interactive teaching, training, and discussion, interns develop the skills to influence their world for Christ.
LEADERSHIP TWO
This course will continue the process of developing leadership by showing the interns that the most effective way to lead is by modeling, molding, and mentoring. Interns will learn the art of being productive, reproducing their gifts in others, and delegation. This course will cause interns to evaluate who they are and what effect they are having on people. It will also motivate them to be someone who makes a difference.
ROMANS
This course is a study of Paul’s letter to the Romans, covering key gospel truths such as mankind’s guilt before God, justification by faith, sanctification through union with Christ, and the Christian life. As one of the most important New Testament teachings, Romans provides a clear explanation of salvation. This course gives interns a strong understanding of God’s plan of salvation.
APOLOGETICS
This course equips interns to defend their faith in light of 1 Peter 3:15—to be ready to give a reason for the hope within them. It examines the reliability of the Old and New Testaments, including messianic and historical prophecy, the resurrection, and archaeological evidence supporting the Bible’s accuracy. The course also addresses challenging questions raised by critics.
OLD TESTAMENT
Sadly, the Old Testament is often the least read part of Scripture. This course explores it through the lens of God’s redemptive plan, revealing His character in the Pentateuch and the Prophets. Interns study key themes such as redemption, atonement, and salvation, gaining a deeper understanding that brings the New Testament to life. Strong emphasis is placed on practical application, making the Old Testament both clear and relevant today. The Old Testament comes alive in this intern picked favorite course.
NEW TESTAMENT
This course surveys the 27 books of the New Testament, beginning with the four Gospels and their portrayal of Jesus as King, Servant, Man, and God. It explores the books through eschatological, soteriological, Christological, and ecclesiological themes, with a strong emphasis on practical application. The New Testament comes alive in this intern-favorite course.
PRAYER
This course teaches the value and practice of prayer—how to connect with God, hear His voice, intercede, pray in faith, stand on His promises, and walk in the power of agreement. Interns don’t just learn about prayer; they experience it firsthand. We believe no Christian is more powerful than their prayer life, making this course essential.
LIFE MANAGEMENT
This course develops leadership by drawing lessons from the life of Joseph. Interns learn to evaluate their habits, organization, words, finances, thought patterns, and time management. It addresses the gap between desire and discipline, equipping interns to walk in wisdom and apply God’s Word daily to build a successful, fulfilling life.
LIFE APPLICATION
This course is designed to develop a strong reading habit—one of the most valuable disciplines in life. Interns read selected books throughout the year, breaking them down chapter by chapter in a roundtable setting. With high interaction and discussion, this course is a consistent intern favorite.
FINANCES
This course teaches the purpose of money and how to manage it wisely. Topics include budgeting, balancing a checkbook, credit cards, saving, investing, tithing, and purchasing a vehicle. Interns develop financial stewardship and learn to handle money with wisdom and obedience to God.
COMMUNICATION
This course focuses on developing healthy communication through proven skills and practical tools. Interns learn to examine their reactions and understand the depth and pattern of their emotions. They are equipped to handle anger constructively, use “I” language, and avoid defensiveness. These skills help them move from being stuck in the story to effectively resolving situations.
LIFE OF CHRIST
This course centers on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Interns examine His ministry and message, gaining insight into the experience of the early disciples while being challenged in their own relationship with Him. This course is designed to deepen connection with the Son of God and foster lasting spiritual growth.
